Each year Congress has allocated 50.000 visas for permanent resident status to be distributed through a Diversity Visa Lottery. To be eligible you must be a native of a low admission country. Each year the Department Of State lists the Countries that qualify as low admission countries. In addition the applicant must have a high school education or its equivalent or within the five years preceding the application, have two years of work experience in an occupation that requires a minimum of two years of experience or training to perform the job duties. The application period is normally in October of each year. This year's lottery has ended. We will post information regarding the 2003 lottery as soon as that information is made available.

If you are a winner in the lottery, you will be sent a packet from the Department of State which must be completed and processed either in the United States or at the appropriate consulate abroad.
